This week, The London and St. Thomas Association of Realtors reported that 1,050 homes were sold last month, 1.3% less listings than 1 year ago in June 2018, and 9.6% less than May 2019. The President of LSTAR stated that:

“Even if the home sales edged down last month, our local real estate market is still robust: the year-to-date sales activity saw a 3% increase over June 2018 and a higher level than in any of the first five years of this decade,”

Specifically in London, there were 969 new listings added in June, while the monthly average home price equalled $408,274. In St. Thomas, there were 90 new listings, 24.7% less than last year in June 2018. The average home price for the month was $354,064.

From this data, LSTAR has concluded that all their regions are sellers’ markets, with the exception of Middlesex County and Elgin County, which sit between a more balanced area.
